About the Founder and Executive Director of Synergy Middle School
Rachel Green Soto is beyond thrilled to continue her life's work of responding to the educational needs of the community by launching Synergy Middle School in Fall of 2017 in collaboration with some of the biggest names in essential youth programs in Austin including Earth Native Wilderness School, Yogapeutics, The Art Garage, Don’t Stop Rockin’, and the Paramount Theatre.
Rachel Green Soto, a Wisconsin native, is a 14 year resident of South Austin. She is an educator with over 14 years experience in the public, private, and co-school communities. She is the Founder, Director, and Teacher of a highly regarded private PreK and Kindergarten program in South Austin since 2009 named Verona Schoolhouse. Rachel also founded an educational non-profit in 2014 to develop, support, and initiate holistic educational programs that use the Kairos Approach for the benefit of the community. Rachel currently serves as Board Chair of this non-profit named Kairos Ed.
Rachel Green Soto is a community organizer and leader continuously involved with and often overseeing local neighborhood and city level organizations that support local businesses and improve the quality of life and educational experiences for parents and students. Rachel is an advocate for parents, students, and educators in any way she can be.
In February 2016, Synergy Founder, Rachel Green Soto was invited to speak at the Child Unleashed event in Austin, Texas. Rachel spoke about how she views using time to the fullest with a Kairos perspective.
